Dysport / Nuceiva

The version of your face that isn't working so hard.

There's a specific moment — usually about a week after your appointment — where you catch yourself in a mirror and something is just easier. Not different. Not frozen. Easier. The line between your brows that's been there since your late twenties, gone quiet. The creasing around your eyes when you smile, softened. You still look like yourself. You just look like the version of yourself that isn't carrying the week on your face.

That's what a good neuromodulator does. And done well, nobody knows you did anything except you.

What it Treats:

Dysport and Nuceiva are neuromodulators — the same family of treatment as Botox, with a formulation Emily has chosen for its precision and natural-looking results. By relaxing the specific muscles responsible for repetitive movement, they smooth existing lines and prevent new ones from forming.

Commonly treated areas include:

Frown lines (the "11s") · Forehead lines · Crow's feet · Brow lifting · Bunny lines · Lip flip · Chin dimpling · Gummy smile · Jaw slimming (masseter) · Neck bands · Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

What to Expect:

The appointment is quick — most treatments take 15 to 30 minutes depending on the areas being addressed. Emily will walk you through exactly what she's planning before she starts, and adjusts based on your face, your muscle strength, and the result you're after.

The injections themselves are brief and well-tolerated. Some people feel nothing. Some feel a small pinch. Either way, you'll be back to your day immediately after — no real downtime, just some minor redness or swelling that typically resolves within a few hours.

Results begin to appear within 3 to 5 days and settle fully around the two-week mark. That's when Emily recommends a follow-up if any refinement is needed.

Results:

  • When: 3–5 days to start, full results at 2 weeks

  • How long: Typically 3–4 months, with regular treatment often extending duration over time

  • What affects it: Metabolism, muscle strength, activity level, and the areas treated all play a role in how long results last

First-timers often find their results don't last as long as they expected. That's normal — it often takes two to three treatments before the muscle begins to respond the way you want it to. Consistency matters here.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Dysport and Nuceiva are appropriate for adults who want to soften lines caused by facial movement — whether that's treating existing creasing or getting ahead of it before it deepens. Emily will assess your muscle movement, skin quality, and facial anatomy at consultation to determine the right product, placement, and amount for your face specifically.

If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, this treatment isn't suitable right now. If you have a neuromuscular condition, let Emily know at consultation.

If you've had neuromodulators elsewhere and weren't happy with the result — too frozen, uneven, or just not quite right — book a consultation. Emily will take the time to understand what happened and what a better outcome looks like for you.

The Questions People Actually Ask:

01. Will I still be able to move my face? Yes. The goal is never to freeze — it's to soften. Emily treats to movement, not elimination, which means you'll still have full expression. Just without the lines that come with it.

02. What's the difference between Dysport, Nuceiva, and Botox? All three are neuromodulators that work the same way. The differences are in formulation, spread, and onset. Emily uses Dysport and Nuceiva specifically — she'll recommend the right one for your treatment areas and anatomy at your appointment.

03. What if I don't like it? Neuromodulators are temporary. If you're unhappy with the result, it will wear off. Emily also offers a two-week follow-up for any refinement — catching and correcting small asymmetries is part of the process, not an exception to it.

04. How often do I need to come back? Most clients treat every 3 to 4 months to maintain results. Over time, with consistent treatment, many find they need slightly less product as the muscle learns to relax.
