Forma Skin Tightening

The treatment that feels like a massage and works like nothing else.

Forma is a medical-grade radiofrequency skin tightening treatment using the InMode platform — the same technology behind NEA's broader treatment approach. It delivers controlled radiofrequency energy deep into the dermis at a precisely maintained temperature of 40–43°C, triggering two simultaneous responses: existing collagen fibres contract immediately, and fibroblasts are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin in the weeks and months that follow.

The result is progressive, cumulative tightening that builds with each session and continues improving after the series is complete as new collagen matures.

No needles. No numbing. No downtime. Just warm, continuous circular movements across the treatment area and skin that quietly gets better every time.

What it Treats:

Forma addresses skin laxity and loss of firmness — the gradual softening of the skin's structural support that begins in the mid-thirties and accelerates with time.

Most effective for:

Jowling and lower face laxity · Jawline definition · Nasolabial folds · Under-chin and neck looseness · Forehead and periorbital area · Overall skin firmness and quality · Skin laxity in the arms, abdomen, and inner thighs (Forma Plus applicator)

Forma is a skin quality and tightening treatment — it is not a fat reduction device and is not designed to replace surgical intervention for significant laxity.

What to Expect:

No preparation required. No numbing cream. You arrive and the treatment begins.

The Forma handpiece moves in warm, continuous circular motions across the treatment area. The device monitors skin temperature in real time and adjusts the RF output to maintain the therapeutic range throughout the session — warm enough to stimulate collagen, never hot enough to cause discomfort. The treatment takes 30 to 45 minutes.

Afterwards, a mild flush — similar to a warm workout glow — for 30 to 60 minutes is the full extent of the post-treatment experience. No redness the following day. No restrictions on makeup, exercise, or anything else. Most clients go straight back to their day.

Forma is a series treatment — weekly sessions for six to eight weeks, then monthly maintenance. Collagen remodelling is a biological process that builds cumulatively. Results are visible by sessions four to six, with the most significant improvement appearing two to three months after the final session as new collagen fully matures.

Results:

When: Visible tightening typically from session 4–6, with peak results 2–3 months after the final session

How long: Results are maintained with monthly upkeep. Without maintenance, the collagen response gradually diminishes over 6–12 months as natural ageing continues

What affects it: Number of sessions, consistency of maintenance, age, degree of laxity, and overall skin health

Forma rewards the client who commits to the protocol. The results aren't dramatic after one session — they're genuinely remarkable after a full series, and they continue building with consistent maintenance.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Forma is most effective for adults with mild to moderate skin laxity — those who are beginning to notice softening along the jaw, looseness in the neck, or reduced skin firmness and elasticity. It works best as an early intervention or preventive treatment — significant laxity typically requires more aggressive approaches.

Forma is safe for all skin types and tones — radiofrequency energy heats tissue based on electrical resistance rather than melanin absorption, meaning there is no skin-tone-related contraindication.

It is not appropriate for clients with pacemakers or metal implants in the treatment area, active skin infections, or during pregnancy. If you're unsure whether Forma or a more intensive tightening approach is right for your concerns, a consultation will give you a clear and honest answer.

The Questions People Actually Ask:

01. How is this different from RF microneedling? Both use radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen — the delivery and experience are completely different. RF microneedling uses fine needles to deliver RF energy at depth, producing meaningful results in fewer sessions but requiring numbing cream and three to seven days of visible redness and downtime. Forma delivers RF through the skin surface with no needles, no numbing, and no downtime. If you need to maintain your schedule and can't afford recovery time, Forma is the right choice. If you want more intensive results in fewer sessions and can plan for downtime, RF microneedling may be the better fit. Emily will advise at consultation.

02. Six to eight sessions sounds like a significant commitment. Is it worth it? Honest answer — yes, for the right client. Forma produces real, progressive improvement in skin quality and laxity that builds visibly over the series and continues for months after. The sessions themselves are genuinely pleasant and take under an hour. The commitment is real, but so are the results. If you're looking for a single-session fix, this isn't it — but if you want skin that improves steadily and sustainably over time, there are very few treatments that do it without any of the trade-offs Forma avoids.

03. Can I combine Forma with other treatments? Yes — and it's one of the most complementary treatments on the NEA menu. Forma addresses dermal collagen and quality — what injectables cannot. Neurotoxin relaxes muscle, filler restores volume, Forma tightens and rebuilds the dermis. Used together, the results are more comprehensive than any of them achieve individually. Emily will recommend the right combination based on your face and your goals.

04. Is Forma the same as a non-surgical facelift? Forma produces meaningful tightening and skin quality improvement without surgery — which makes the comparison understandable. It is not, however, comparable to surgical results and doesn't attempt to be. For mild to moderate laxity, Forma delivers visible, natural-looking improvement. For significant structural laxity, surgical approaches remain the more effective option. Emily will be honest with you about which category your concerns fall into.
