CO2 Peel - Coolpeel

The kind of skin that makes people wonder what you're doing differently.

There's a category of skin concern that no serum reaches. The fine texture that's been building since your early thirties. The sun damage that foundation no longer quite covers. The dullness that a good night's sleep used to fix but doesn't anymore. These aren't skincare problems. They're skin problems — and they need something that works at a different level entirely.

CoolPeel is a fractional CO2 laser treatment that resurfaces the skin by removing the outermost damaged layers and triggering a rebuilding process underneath. The result is smoother texture, improved tone, reduced lines, and the kind of clarity that makes people ask if you've changed your skincare routine, moved somewhere with better air, or simply started doing something right.

You have. This is it.

What it Treats:

CoolPeel delivers the resurfacing results of a traditional CO2 laser with significantly less downtime — making it possible to get real improvement without disappearing for two weeks. It works at the surface level with precision, targeting damaged skin cells while leaving the surrounding tissue intact to support faster healing.

CoolPeel effectively addresses:

Fine lines and surface wrinkles · Uneven skin texture · Enlarged pores · Sun damage and pigmentation · Dull or tired-looking skin · Early signs of skin laxity · Overall skin quality and radiance

What to Expect:

Your appointment begins with topical numbing cream applied 30 to 45 minutes before treatment. Once you're comfortable, the laser pass itself takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on the areas being treated.

During treatment, most clients feel a warm, prickling sensation. The numbing handles most of the discomfort — the experience is entirely manageable.

Immediately after, your skin will be red, warm, and feel similar to a moderate sunburn. This is normal, expected, and temporary. Over the next two to four days, the skin will begin to peel and flake as the treated surface sheds. This is the process — it means it's working.

Most clients are comfortable returning to normal activities within five to seven days with appropriate makeup coverage. Sun protection is non-negotiable during healing and for several weeks after.

Emily will provide detailed aftercare instructions before you leave — following them properly is what separates a good result from a great one.

Results:

  • When: Initial improvement visible once peeling resolves, around day 5–7. Continued improvement over 3 to 6 months as collagen remodels

  • How long: Results are long-lasting, particularly for texture and tone. Maintenance treatments are recommended once or twice annually to sustain and build on results

  • What affects it: Skin type, degree of damage, sun exposure history, aftercare compliance, and SPF habits going forward

One treatment delivers meaningful improvement. A series — typically two to three sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart — delivers transformational results, particularly for clients with more significant sun damage or textural concerns.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

CoolPeel is suitable for adults with Fitzpatrick skin types I through III who want real improvement in skin quality, texture, and tone. If you have a history of keloid scarring, active acne, cold sores, or are taking certain medications including Accutane, this treatment may not be appropriate — Emily will review your history at consultation.

If you have a deeper skin tone, please book a consultation before proceeding. CO2 laser requires careful assessment for darker skin types, and Emily will be direct with you about whether this is the right treatment for your skin or whether an alternative approach makes more sense.

Timing matters too. CoolPeel is best scheduled during autumn and winter months when sun exposure is naturally lower — not because summer is impossible, but because protecting resurfaced skin from UV is both easier and more important than most people realize.

The Questions People Actually Ask:

01. How much downtime do I actually need to plan for? Honestly — five to seven days before you feel comfortable in public without coverage. The redness and peeling peak around days two to three and resolve from there. Plan around anything important. Don't schedule this the week before a major event, a holiday, or anything that requires you to look camera-ready.

02. Is it painful? With proper numbing, most clients describe the sensation as intense warmth or mild prickling — uncomfortable but entirely tolerable. The post-treatment period feels like a sunburn for the first day or two. Most people are surprised it's more manageable than they expected.

03. I have darker skin. Can I still do this? Possibly, but it requires proper assessment first. CO2 laser carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in deeper skin tones, and Emily will be honest with you about whether CoolPeel is appropriate for your skin type or whether a different treatment would get you better results more safely. Book a consultation and get the real answer.

04. How is CoolPeel different from a regular CO2 laser? Traditional CO2 laser delivers deeper resurfacing with more dramatic results — and significantly more downtime, often two weeks or more. CoolPeel uses the same laser technology but targets only the very surface of the skin, delivering meaningful improvement with a recovery measured in days rather than weeks. For most people, it's the right balance of result and recovery.
